Health and safety are just two of my concerns with my work. Given the 19, now 20 students under my care isn’t so easy. I learned my lessons through the previous two years of teaching elementary students. This school year, I’m more strict to them when it comes to rules about their health and their safety. I haven’t had any major issue this school year and I’m glad I haven’t written an incident report about any of my students getting hurt or hurting fellow students. I find it easier to manage my students this school year. However, we are still have two more quarters before the school year ends so I still need to continue to watch them especially when they are at the playground. As much as I want to avoid giving them field day/free play or p.e., they need it or I’ll overwhelm them with what we are learning in class. I just hope they continue to “be safe” throughout the school year.

I hope all their parents bought health/dental insurance that hey need. Accidents do happen so whether they’re always safe or not, a good health insurance like Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC is advisable. That reminds me, I need to check on my insurance’ Maternity coverage options.
